I am researching the family of Frederick James POOLE, son of Frederick Thomas and Jane.  He was born in New Zealand in 1893 and died at Lord Howe Island in 1966.  At this point I have no other information, including whether or not he was buried on Lord Howe Island or elsewhere.  I would be very pleased to hear from anyone who may know anything at all about his association with Lord Howe Island, or indeed anything of his life in general.  I have a lot of information about his extended family which I am happy to share with other interested researchers.

James passed away on Lord Howe Island in 1966.

23248/1966  POOLE  FREDERICK JAMES  FREDERICK THOMAS  JANE  LORD HOWE ISLAND

I would imagine he was buried on the island.  Given that the record is within the past 50 years, you could try contacting the Lord Howe Island Museum.  They should be able to point you in the right direction.

Failing that you could also try writing to the Lord Howe Island Board, which administers the affairs of Lord Howe.  The board meets on the island every three months.
